Stationery With Purpose is a project of Scripture Union and Sakh'Ulutsha, Empowering Young People. The idea of Stationery With Purpose started with Mariska de Beer, General Director at Scripture Union South Africa, early in the year and we started work on this project in April of 2024. Mariska wanted to create an alternative way to provide funding for their many projects which help the youth of South Africa to find faith and their redemptive purpose in GOD. Really empowering young people, not just a slogan.


This project started off as one to create an online shop for Stationery With Purpose. However, it quickly turned into so much more as we uncovered the intricacies of selling stationery kits for schools. The online shop boasts over 350 products and is growing almost daily.

One of the fundamental aspects of Stationery With Purpose is their Affiliate Program. We added a special extension to manage that more effectively than the standard option.

Another aspect of the business was integrating the online shop to a stock control system. We searched far and wide and found ZOHO Books Elite to be the best option.

Furthermore, we needed to integrate ZOHO Books Elite with XERO, which is the main accounting software of the organisation. By the Grace of GOD, we found a way which was relatively inexpensive and easy to manage.

And finally, payment. You can pay via EFT, but we have also integrated Peach Payments in the shop for safe and secure online payments in most shapes and form.

  1. The Graanendal Lifestyle Estate Stationery Drive - Graanendal Lifestyle Estate have asked Stationery With Purpose to put together stationery kits for their annual stationery drive. The kits are bought on the store, delivered to Graanendal Lifestyle Estate and then donated to children who are taking part in constructive holiday programs. You will find the two kits here.
  2. The Sakh'Ulutsha Basic Stationery Kit. This Kit includes basic stationery as well as a pair of shoes from My Walk Initiative for one learner.  Included are all the basic stationery items which a Grade R to Grade 5 learner may need. You will find this kit here.
  3. Get your child's school to sign up at  Stationery With Purpose to have their stationery kits listed on the shop. You will find the link to do that on the top menu under Schools and Affiliates.
  4. You can also sign up as an Affiliate and promote the kits on this shop to schools and children in your area.

This Month's Invoice Cycle
